Queen of Table Waters
At the end of the 19th century during work on the water collection reservoir antique wells and coins and offerings from the Gallo-Roman period were discovered at the source. One of the coins had a portrait of Empress Faustina Augusta (IIc AD) on the front and an image of Ceres, goddess of fertility on the back and the images were used in early labels of the water. It also dubbed the water the "Queen of Table Waters"
